2008年の十のねがい

みなさま、

私の国や（全部がというのではないのですが）多くの国で、本日が新年の最初の日であります。まず、いつものように、[[願い]]をお聞かせしたいとおもいます。みなさまのご健康と、ご幸運をお祈りしますとともに、みなさまの毎日が楽しいものでありますように。

つづいて、ウィキメディアにまつわるいくつかのねがいを共有したく思います。

財団について

ウィキメディア財団 (Wikimedia Foundation, Inc.) は米国フロリダ州の非営利団体です。無料で公開されたウィキを利用したプロジェクトにより、多言語でのフリーコンテンツの作成、開発、配布を国際的に行っています。ウィキメディア財団はそうして集めた知識を世界中の人々に無料で提供する事を目標としており、寄付によって運営されています。プロジェクトの中には世界で最も頻繁にアクセスされるサイトの20位以内に入るウィキペディアが含まれます。

Library of Alexandria

Wikimania 2008 calls for participation
The Wikimania 2008 Organizing Committee is accepting submissions for presentations, workshops, panels, posters, open spaces, and artistic artifacts until March 16, 2008. The conference will be held this summer at the Library of Alexandria in Egypt. The submission guidelines are available online. Visit the official site for further information. (12 February 2008)

Wikimedia Foundation releases latest financial statements
Although a bit later than we would have originally liked, I'm pleased to announce that the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees has approved the Foundation's 2006/2007 financial statements.
